Darcy Kuemper Goalie Mask Game Worn 2019 Phoenix Coyotes Dom Malerba Shell Painted by DaveArt
STORY:
This is a rare game worn goalie mask of Stanley Cup champion goalie Darcy Kuemper from the 2019-2020 NHL season. Injuries limited Kuemper to 29 regular season games and he had a 16-11-0 record before leading the Coyotes to a 2020 playoff series win over Nashville in the franchise's first post-season appearance since 2012. Kuemper led the Colorado Avalanche to a Stanley Cup championship in 2021-22 and now plays for the Washington Capitals. Kuemper wore five different masks in 2019-2020 including two Kachina-themed masks and this is one of them. He wore this mask in November and December of 2019 before injuries struck. Photo-matched many times. This mask shows use with a few distinguishable puck marks on the chin area above the “KUEMPS” and some minor sweat staining in the tan padding and straps. The back head back plate has the coat of arms, sign of the cross with "FOR THOSE I LOVE" and CS and ribbon design that Kuemper has on all his masks. This shell was made by Dominic Malerba in 2019 and painted by DaveArt. This mask was originally acquired directly from the Phoenix Coyotes in 2022 after Kuemper left the team.
