Details:
The Dominik Hasek game worn pads are identifiable because of the yellow in the 5-hole area. They are photo-matched to the 1995-96 Pinnacle Summit "In The Crease" hockey card. Hasek wore two sets of pads that year, this was the first worn earlier in the season. Pads have been certified as authentic by Double Deke Hockey #4908 as well as by Mark Bowman, who worked on the pads and with Dominik Hasek during his time with Heaton.
Backstory from consigner:
"My dad's best friend is Steve Horn, who is Joe Buck's right hand man. He has travelled with Joe for decades and he is the person in his ear giving states during broadcasts. I was a goalie growing up and as a surprise, Steve got them to me as an awesome present as a kid. One of the interesting things about the pads is that his name is spelled Dominic, as opposed to Dominik. some of his early cards had his name spelled with a "k" versus a "c" and I've been told it was some kind of running joke, but according to Heaton, it was just a mistake they had made.
