Mike Vernon Game Worn Goalie Mask 1989 Calgary Flames Painted by Greg Harrison on Harrison Shell
Story:
A truly unique piece of history, this is Vernon mask was created by the legendary Greg Harrison. Harrison states that Vernon used this mask for a short period of time in the late 89-90 when he was switching between the two styles of masks he used in Calgary. Greg says he only used it for a couple of games, as he complained that the cage was too long. So Greg made him a new one that he used from then on out in Calgary. Harrison also eliminated the logos on the top because he wanted to create his designs from then on with no team logo. This mask was obtained from Harrison’s lawyer in Caledon, Ontario. The mask was also used on a 1988 Calgary Olympics poster.
